Joost Deckers new Managing Director Talk & Vision
London, 4 October 2010 - Talk & Vision, specialist in the field of visual communication and managed video services (MAVIS), has appointed Joost Deckers (41) as its new Managing Director. His primary objectives in the course of his duties will be to retain Talk & Vision's strong market position as one of the largest players in the EMEA region, while monitoring the organisation's firm foundations in the areas of quality, innovation and flexibility. In addition, he will endeavour to promote closer ties with other KPN/Getronics business units, with a view to meeting the demand for end-to-end solutions.
‘The videoconferencing market has changed radically during recent years. The focus has shifted from hardware to complete carefree service in the field of visual communication,' according to Joost Deckers. ‘Closer cooperation with other business units within the KPN group will enable us to offer businesses a total visual communication solution. Talk & Vision also views matters from companies' own perspective, while assisting them in incorporating visual communication in the business processes. Furthermore, visual communication can be used as a means of addressing issues including efficiency improvement and cost-cutting, or as part of measures to advance CSR and The New Way of Working.'
Joost Deckers joined the ranks of KPN back in 1994. As General Manager of Gemnet since 2006, he was instrumental in this ICT service provider's smooth integration into the KPN group.
